We, at River Church, dedicate ourselves to serving God by creating a nurturing and inclusive community grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to:
Worship: Honor and glorify God through heartfelt worship and prayer.
Discipleship: Foster spiritual growth and maturity by teaching and living out the principles of the Bible.
Service: Extend Christ’s love through compassionate service to our neighbors, both near and far.
Evangelism: Share the Good News of Jesus Christ, reaching out to all people with the message of hope and salvation.
Fellowship: Build a supportive and caring congregation where everyone feels valued and connected.
Together, we strive to embody the love of Christ in all we do, transforming lives and communities for His glory.
At River Church, we believe the Bible is God's inspired, inerrant Word and our final authority for what we believe and how we live.
We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created everything and made every person in His image with dignity, value, and purpose.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and will one day return.
We believe everyone needs Jesus. Sin separates us from God, and we cannot save ourselves. Salvation is God's gift of grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ—not through our goodness, religion, or works.
We believe those who truly belong to Christ are secure in Him. God saves us by His grace, keeps us by His grace, and calls us to grow as faithful followers of Jesus.
We believe the Holy Spirit lives within every believer, helping us follow Jesus, grow in Christlikeness, and serve God's Kingdom. He gives spiritual gifts according to His will for the building up of the Church.
We believe the Church belongs to Jesus. Christians are called to worship together, grow as disciples, love and serve others, and share the gospel with our community and the world.
We believe in believer's baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Jesus, and we celebrate Communion together in remembrance of Christ's sacrifice. Communion at River Church is open to all believers.
We believe God created humanity male and female and established marriage as a covenant between one biological man and one biological woman. Every person is created in God's image and should be treated with dignity, compassion, and love.
We believe every human life is sacred, from conception through natural death, because every person bears the image of God.
We believe Jesus is coming again. There will be resurrection and final judgment, and those who belong to Christ will live forever with Him.
Above everything else, we believe the good news:
Jesus saves.
Our hope isn't found in ourselves, our goodness, or our religion.
Our hope is in Jesus Christ alone.
River Church is a Southern Baptist church and generally affirms the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
